Speed Date a Candidate

On January 22, 2026, we launched our first Speed Date a Candidate event. All our local Republican candidates running in the primaries were invited. Attendees were able to have a one-on-one conversation with each candidate for 2 minutes. Both attendents and candidates enjoyed the evening. In fact, we had so much positive feedback, we will be bringing this event back in the future.

We had 3 County Judge candidates, 2 running for Sheriff, 2 candidates seeking the Precinct 4 Councilman position and 2 candidates for United States Congressman. Our current Mayor, Tim Short also made an appearance.
